Mission
The mission of the Bridgeport Arts Council is to, as a community arts association, expose residents of our area to a variety of artistic experiences.
Plans
- Through mini-grants and grant funding, we plan to bring various types of artists into our community and schools.
- We plan to sponsor a Fine Arts Camp for kids with various workshops to expose children to activities tey may otherwise not be exposed to.
- We want to organize a Bridgeport Band and/or Orchestra for youth and adults.
- We want to increase the number of programs that are offered at the Bridgeport Civic Center which are offered for all members of our community.
- Coordinate arts activities for the City of Bridgeport through this web site.
Meetings
Periodic meetings of the Bridgeport Arts Council are held to discuss preparations and plans to accomplish the goals above. These meetings are held at the Benedum Civic Center. See the schedule or calendar for the date and time of the next meeting.
